Celebrating An Awesome 2016 With Another Indie
Hello Indie Lovers!
It’s time for a late, but nonetheless awesome, roundup of 2016!
Well, what can we say, 2016 rocked for Another Indie. We continued our work bringing awesome indie games into China, adding Heart and Slash, Anima: Gate of Memories, and Cubotrox to our ever expanding repertoire. As well as this we added Russian to the list of languages that we localise in and launched many of our games on the Russian market. Much of this was down to the addition of Vladyslav Tsypljak to our ever expanding team of indie experts.
In even crazier news Another Indie snapped up its first worldwide title, Lost Castle, and helped developer Hunter Studio sell an astonishing 300,000 copies of this indie darling worldwide. Promoting Lost Castle took the team all over the world from the US to the Philippines, and eventually Australia. It was amazing to rub shoulders with the creators of games from all over the globe and incredible to shake hands with people whose games we played and loved.
And to add a cherry to the top of this delicious 2016 cake, Lost Castle won People’s Choice award at GameStart Asia!
So 2016 was a watershed year for Another Indie, we left our comfort zones took on new challenges and pushed into new areas both geographically and metaphorically. I would like to take a moment to say thank you to all the developers who have put their faith in us and an even bigger thank you to all the people who bought our games and spread the love for Another Indie and our work.
2016 was one hell of a year and we cannot wait to see what 2017 has in store for us.
